FPCC Spring Cycling Trip – Cambrils, Spain. 23rd to 30th April 2016.

A weeks riding in the beautiful region of Costa Daurada. We are using Cycling Costa Daurada (CCD) who provide a pro level cycling experience which the likes of Team Giant Alpicin take advantage of for their own training camp. The CCD Team understand that this is a holiday that you have paid for and go out of their way to ensure you have the best time possible.

We will spend a week cycling on traffic and pot hole free roads in the mild climate that the area enjoys – last year the temperature was regularly in the low to mid 20s. There are long and spectacular climbs to test yourself against and the descending is great for improving your bike handling skills.

There may be a trip to the Pyrenees mid week if the weather in the mountains is good. All the rides have mechanical back up so there is no need to carry anything on your bike. The team provide coffee, cake, chocolate, energy bars, gels, drinks and generally everything you need so you can just get on with enjoying your riding. You can take your own bike or good quality road bikes are available to hire, last year they were Trek Aluminium frames with Shimano 105.

The accommodation is half board at the Cambrils Park Holiday Resort which is very quiet outside of holiday season. The apartments are pretty luxurious with free Wifi, Kitchen and TVs. The cost for the week is EUR 512 which at current rates is £375 plus flights. (Ryanair to Reus)
