Capital Crits

Capital Crits 18th July 2026

After a successful inaugural event in 2025, Finsbury Park Cycling Club are delighted to promote the second edition of CAPITAL CRITS, a summer’s day of circuit racing at London’s celebrated Olympic VeloPark.

We are again running a full program of events catering for riders looking to try racing for the first time in a safe, supportive environment and for experienced racers in the chase for points and promotion.

Before the race program begins one of the event sponsors WATTO, will be offering a short (free of charge) coaching session at 10:15 for women interested in giving racing a go.

Women who wish to follow up the coaching session with a ride in the Go-Race event should sign on for the Go-Race at 10:00 – 10:15 BEFORE the Coaching Session – so they have a number and can go straight to the line.

We then open with a Women’s only Go-Race, to encourage those who are curious about racing to give it a go it for the first time in a low-pressure environment. This race will be a fun, inclusive event for those who have not raced before or have only raced once or twice and are looking to gain more confidence – no race licence required to take part. It will be immediately followed by a Women’s Cat 4 only race, to give those who enjoyed the experience a chance to try a formal race. The full racing programme is as follows:
