Odam after round 5.

Eight ‘Parkers’ graced the E64 for round 5 on a pleasant evening and everyone performed at or near their potential; with the exception of Albert who was well off his usual pace, without any excuses. I wonder what happened. Michael Briars surprised; not with his performance, but that he managed to start on time, get round without a problem and found his way back to the finish. There’s hope yet.

Tom has his customary safe lead in the scratch, but the destination of the Odam Trophy is a long way from being settled with 3-4 riders all in the hunt with reasonable prospects of victory. Andy is making a charge, young Master Larkins has four more bites to make his mark, Tom is always a threat for the handicap/scratch double and Michael can feature now he has his management sorted out.

Forthcoming rendezvous are Wed 25 June, 9 July, 23 July and 6 August.

Current chart (with corrections to R3 as Neal, who wasn’t there, was given Albert’s time, who was).
